Alan Davidner became a director of the Company in October 2010. He has been in the medical device business for more than 32 years and has developed or managed the development of 18 successfully
commercialized products. He has provided outstanding returns to his investors that have ranged from 1.8 to 35 times the investment. Like NeoMatrix, several of his startups have been pioneering efforts that require creating awareness and establishing acceptance. Mr. Davidner is the current President of EndOclear, a medical device startup that addresses ventilator acquired pneumonia in the intensive care unit. He is also the current Chairman of the Board, past President (2004‐2009) and founder of Vestara®, a pharmaceutical waste management medical device company that is in strategic partner/acquisition discussions with a large company for its EcoRex® product. He is a past Board member of ESTECH.
Mr. Davidner founded and led American Immuno Tech where he oversaw the development and sale of the Neptune surgical waste management system to Stryker Instruments. Stryker Instruments believes that the Neptune was their most lucrative acquisition with sales reaching $80 million this year. Prior to that, he co‐founded Bio‐Medical Devices, Inc. where he developed the SteriShield, a surgical helmet system, and supported the sale of SteriShield to Stryker Instruments. The SteriShield helmet system remains the number one product in its class. He also was a founder of Phase Medical and developed a safety IV catheter, which was subsequently sold to Becton Dickenson. The safety IV catheter has sales of over 30 million units this year. He was founder and President of Budget Medical where he developed a bifurcated cannula for open heart surgery, which was subsequently sold to Research Medical. Mr. Davidner earned a BS in Mechanical Engineering from California State University at Los Angeles and is a registered manufacturing engineer in California.
